This piece of work lends insight on the worlds future energy chart by reporting an experimental based study on biofuels, particularly butanol, being utilized in diesel engines. A literature review is carried out in diesel engine combustion and emissions, as well as in butanol being used as a clean and regenerable fuel. Then, the experimental methodology is introduced, describing equipments and basic setup for the experiments performed in this research.
