Gathered from the sketchbooks of the late architect William Woollett, these pen and ink renderings and etchings capture California in the era when historic structures were being both demolished and constructed to accommodate rapid urban growth. Woollett sketched on site the Golden Gate and Bay bridges under construction, as well as pastoral scenes from LA's famed Olvera Street. The collection represents an effort to preserve some of California's landmark structures for future generations.
