Richard Ummel Second oldest in a family of 10 children, Richard L. Ummel loved the family dairy farm he helped manageat age 16after his father's death. Feeling God's hand on his life at age 22, Dick entered Manchester College, graduated; took PostGraduate Work at Bethel College (Indiana), and Goshen Biblical Seminary; and studied under a Scholarship from Winona Lake School of Theology. After pastoring a year, the United Missionary Society (UMS) of the Missionary Church accepted his family for Church Planting in Brazil 19561978. Dick records the endurance and triumphs of God's work done through a willing and committed ordinary person.
