Este trabajo surge como una necesidad de generar estrategias que permitan un mayor entendimiento de los procesos metablicos de los organismos vivos. As mismo el campo pedaggico ofrece una serie de modelos que permiten sistematizar el conocimiento y la forma de trasmitirlo, por esto a partir de un anlisis puntual de distintos modelos pedaggicos se toma como referente el modelo de cambio conceptual, el cual permite desarrollar aspectos integrales de la forma como los estudiantes aprenden. A partir de esta premisa se elabor una herramienta computacional, basada en los pasos que sigue el modelo antes dicho que abordar desde los conocimientos previos de los estudiantes hasta llegar a un cambio conceptual, luego de la aplicacin de la herramienta, logrando as generar estrategias tanto cognitivas como metacognitivas que apuntarn siempre a un aprendizaje significativo meta hacia la que deben apuntar todos los procesos de enseanza o de aprendizaje. Con este trabajo se logr cambiar substancialmente procesos de adquisicin del conocimiento bioqumico que ms adelante los estudiantes pondrn en prctica en su ejercicio profesional.
