About the Author Robert N. List received the Ph. D. in English Literature from the University of Illinois. A teaching career in the disciplines of English and American Literature and Mass Communication resulted. He recently retired as full professor and former chair of a nationally accredited department of Mass Communication to concentrate on historical research and fiction writing. Currently, he serves as an adjunct professor in the Honors College at Jackson State University.
