While I think the content of this book is incredible, my copy arrived with a small dent on the cover, which was disappointing. I appreciate the importance of the topic, but I wish it had been packaged more carefully. The book itself is excellent, though!

A Deeply Moving Read
'Captives as Commodities' is a powerful exploration of the transatlantic slave trade. The storytelling is gripping, and it really opened my eyes to a dark part of history. Definitely worth the read if you want to understand the complexities of this issue better!

Great for History Buffs
I bought this book hoping to learn more about the transatlantic slave trade, and it delivered. The research is thorough, but I wish some parts were a bit more engaging. It’s a heavy read, but important for understanding our past.
