Product Description Der Begriff Case Management ist derzeit allgegenwrtig und bestimmt in gleichem Mae die sozialpolitische Rhetorik vom Umbau des Sozialstaats, wie auch die wissenschaftlichen Diskurse innerhalb der Sozialen Arbeit bzw. Sozialpdagogik. Dabei hlt die bereits in den 1970er Jahren in den USA entwickelte Methode des Case Management zwar bereits seit einigen Jahren auch in Deutschland zunehmend Einzug in die Interventionsstrategien der Sozialen Arbeit und in das Gesundheitswesen, die Diskussion um Einfhrung, Finanzierung und Wirkung des Ansatzes aber ist bei weitem noch nicht abgeschlossen. Insbesondere im Rahmen der aktuellen Diskussion um die Neu bzw. Umstrukturierung des Sozial und Gesundheitssystems wird der Ansatz als eine Art Allheilmittel zur Lsung systemimmanenter Probleme propagiert. Angesichts der stetig steigenden Kosten sollen die sozialen Sicherungssysteme durch den gezielt gesteuerten Einsatz der vorhandenen materiellen, finanziellen und persnlichen Ressourcen bei gleich bleibender Qualitt fr die betroffenen Bevlkerungsgruppen effizienter und kostengnstiger arbeiten. Die vorliegende Arbeit versucht, den Case ManagementAnsatz nicht auf ein bestimmtes Anwendungsfeld einzugrenzen oder auf einen bestimmten Aspekt einzuengen. Vielmehr wird versucht, das Konzept im Ganzen' zu besprechen. Dabei soll insbesondere der sehr abstrakt und theoretisch gehaltenen Hypothese nachgegangen werden, inwieweit dieser vor allem auch zur Kostensenkung im Sozialbereich eingefhrte Ansatz einer manageriellen Vernunft' zum Durchbruch verhilft, beziehungsweise als Ausdruck einer Durchsetzung ebendieser angesehen werden kann. Der Begriff der manageriellen Vernunft wird dabei im Zuge der Arbeit entwickelt und dient als Wortschpfung vor allem dazu, eine zunehmende Etablierung managerieller Wirksamkeitsvorstellungen innerhalb der Denk und Handlungsanstze der Sozialen Arbeit zu beschreiben. Schlielich soll der Erfolg und die zunehmende Prsenz des Case Management mit Hil About the Author Michael Schrauth, Jahrgang 1980, lebt und arbeitet derzeit in Mnchen. Nach seinem Studium der Pdagogik, Soziologie und Philosophie an der JuliusMaximiliansUniversitt in Wrzburg sammelte der Autor umfassende praktische Erfahrungen im Bereich der Beratung von hilfs und/oder pflegebedrftigen Menschen. Mit dem Themenfeld Case und CareManagement im Gesundheitswesen' beschftigt sich der Autor bereits seit einigen Jahren sehr intensiv, sowohl auf theoretischer als auch auf praktischer Ebene.
