The book is a comprehensive work on surface finish and MicroHardness improvement using a Cold Forming Super Finishing process: 'Roller Burnishing', which is compared with conventional 'CylindricalGrinding' It gives multifaceted knowledge on various topics such as: Super finishing, Surface Roughness, Coating methods, MicroHardness, Microstructure, Use of Design of Experiments and Parametric Optimization. The experimental results prove that there is appreciable increase in the surface finish in Steel and Aluminium samples. In Steel, increase in Micro hardness is observed while in Aluminium there is WorkFlow effect, the microstructure remains unchanged. This study was done with input variables: Spindle Speed, Feedrate, Depth of cut and Lubrication, which were varied at 3 levels. The output parameters measured were difference in Weight, Surface Roughness, MicroHardness and Micro Structure.
