Cavityringdown spectroscopy is an emerging method for making high sensitivity absorption measurements with gasphase samples. This volume, the first devoted to the method, covers the history, theory, and numerous applications. Written by leaders in the field, it is a comprehensive guide to current methods and ongoing research.

I expected more from an ACS Symposium Series book. Some pages were wrinkled upon arrival, and the binding feels flimsy. The topic of cavity ring-down spectroscopy is intriguing, but the presentation lacks professionalism for the price point.

Great resource for spectroscopy enthusiasts
I picked up this volume from the ACS Symposium Series for our lab, and it’s been a fantastic addition. The ultratrace absorption measurement technique is explained really well, making it accessible even for newcomers. The illustrations are clear, and I’ve learned a lot already!

Good information but a bit dense
This book has valuable info on cavity ring-down spectroscopy, but I found some sections to be quite technical. Not the easiest read if you're just getting into spectroscopy, but the depth of research is commendable. Could use a bit more context for beginners.

Solid reference, shipping took forever
The content of this volume is excellent, especially if you're diving into ultratrace measurements. However, I was really disappointed with how long it took to get here. It arrived a week late and the packaging was a bit crumpled, but the information is worth it.
