Developed to meet the demand for a lowcost, highquality history book, this economically priced version of MAKING AMERICA, Seventh Edition offers readers the complete narrative while limiting the number of features, photos, and maps. All volumes feature a twocolor paperback format. Shaped with a clear political chronology, MAKING AMERICA reflects the variety of individual experiences and cultures that comprise American society. The book provides a clear narrative and an integrated program of learning aids that make the historical content vivid and comprehensible to readers at all levels of preparedness.

Received my copy of Making America Volume 1, and unfortunately, the print quality was pretty poor. Some pages are hard to read because the ink is faded. I expected better from Cengage. It’s frustrating since I really need it for my studies.

Not as engaging as I hoped
While the Cengage Advantage edition of Making America Volume 1 has solid information, I found it a bit dry. The content is comprehensive, but I expected a more engaging narrative style. It’s still useful for reference, just not the most exciting read!

Great for my history class
I bought the Cengage Advantage Books Making America Volume 1 for my history course, and it's been really helpful. The layout is easy to navigate, and it covers everything up to 1877 clearly. My only complaint would be that the chapters could be a bit shorter for easier studying, but overall it's a solid textbook!
