This book is divided into two sections; sections A and B. Section A describes the isolation and structure elucidation of seven known compounds [17] i.e. stigmasterol (1), sitosterol (2), sitosterol glucoside (3), oleanolic acid (4), harmine (5), 7,3',4'trimethoxyflavone (6), and 5methylflavanone (7). Compounds [57] were for the first time reported from this plant. Section B describes the synthesis of 2, 4, 6trichlorophenylhydrazones and 6nitrobenzimidazole derivatives. These synthesized compounds were also biological screened for their glycation of protein, achymotrypsin, carbonic anhydrase, urease, antioxidant (DPPH and superoxide anion scavenging assays) and phosphodiesterase activities. Interestingly, most of these synthesized compounds showed excellent medicinal activities.
