Whether they traveled in luxury or just barely made it to the other side of the Atlantic, they found themselves a part of one of the grandest waves of human migration that the world has ever known.Children of Ellis Islandexplores this world and what it was like for an uprooted youngster at America's golden door. There would have been an uneasiness created by a collage of language barriers, but also new friendships with other children that never would have been founded in the old world.
