The book asks children of the Forest, Garden, Mountain, Sea, Sky, Stars and Earth in turn what they see, feel and hear. The text poses 21 questions in all, then answers with an assortment of clich?s (e.g., "Children, children of the Forest/ What do you see?/ We see green trees swaying in the breeze"). The illustrations feature abstracted, faceless children with triangular legs cavorting gaily, arms outspread, set against hazy landscapes. About the Author Amy Churba is a graduate of Antioch College in New England with a Masters Degree in Waldorf Education. In addition to her Waldorf training, she holds a public school certification for grades K8., and her experiences as a teacher fueled her desire to create Children of the Earth. These experiences range from private and public schools to leading workshops in intentional communities. She is a sculptor, drawer, painter and storyteller who has a true passion for creativity along with the ability to let the imagination grow and flow.
