The Christmas Story aims to involve a whole community whether school, music centre, workshop or club. It is ideal for a simple staging so children can be involved in all aspects of a musical production. The instrumentation is completely flexible: it will work successfully with anything from piano or guitar and voices right up to the full scoring suggested including strings, melody instruments, bass instruments and mixed percussion. You will find the pieces easy to learn, full of memorable tunes, and above all, fun ideal for the hectic Christmas period in a busy school or community.

This cantata has beautiful melodies and our kids loved singing it. However, some of the parts were tricky to coordinate with the instrumentalists. It took a bit longer to rehearse than I anticipated, but the kids enjoyed it in the end.

Packaging was a letdown
