Durante la prctica de una modalidad deportiva existe la posibilidad de adquirir lesiones osteomusculares por diferentes causas como la sobrecarga a una estructura anatmica o del mismo entrenamiento, la mala ejecucin de gestos tcnicos, entre otras. Todo lo anterior puede desencadenar una serie de consecuencias que afecten directamente a quienes practican el deporte, pues la adquisicin de una lesin no solamente podra impedir la continuidad de la prctica deportiva, sino que tambin podra ocasionar algunos inconvenientes en la realizacin de actividades extradeportivas como tambin las actividades bsicas cotidianas. De esta manera se presenta, a travs de esta investigacin, una mirada del ciclismo, desde el deporte, la salud y la biomecanica. As mismo se pudo caracterizar y establecer cules son los arcos de movimiento de la articulacin de la rodilla y sus posibles alteraciones asociadas a los factores de riesgo que puedan generar una lesin deportiva.
