EDGAR AWARD NOMINEE • In this stunning debut novel, the first volume in Paul Auster’s acclaimed The New York Trilogy, an author determined to solve a mystery begins to descend into madness.
“Remarkable . . . The book is a pleasure to read, full of suspense and action. . . . [A] strange and powerful adventure.”—The New York Times Book Review
After a strange phone call in the middle of the night, Quinn, an author of detective stories, becomes enmeshed in a case more puzzling than any he might have written. Composed with hallucinatory clarity, City of Glass combines dark humor with Hitchcock-like suspense.
City of Glass inaugurates the intriguing New York Trilogy of novels that The Washington Post Book World has classified as “post-existential private eye. . . . It’s as if Kafka has gotten hooked on the gumshoe game and penned his own ever-spiraling version.”
The brilliant installments of Paul Auster’s The New York Trilogy include:
CITY OF GLASS • GHOSTS • THE LOCKED ROOM

I got the New York Trilogy expecting a gripping narrative, but it fell flat for me. The copy was used and showed a bit of wear and tear, which was fine, but the writing style just didn't resonate. I think I’ll pass this one along to a friend who might enjoy it more.

Interesting but a Bit Confusing
I bought this used copy of the New York Trilogy, and while the stories are unique, they can definitely be a bit hard to follow at times. It arrived quickly and in decent shape, but I expected more clarity in the writing. Worth a read if you're into experimental fiction!

A Classic with Some Wear
I’m a huge fan of Paul Auster, so I picked up this used New York Trilogy. The book was slightly worn but readable. It's a great series of interconnected stories, but had a few dog-eared pages. Still, I couldn't put it down!

A Must-Read for Sci-Fi Lovers
The New York Trilogy by City of Glass is a fascinating dive into postmodern literature. Even though I got it used, the book was in good condition. The stories are intricate and really keep you thinking long after you've turned the last page!
