What a beautifully written book! "City of Shadows" really transports you to Paris in the past. I loved learning about the culture and art of that era, but a few chapters felt a bit too lengthy. Still, it's worth the read!

This book was interesting, but I found some sections a bit slow. The overall narrative about Paris in the Belle Époque is captivating, though. I liked the characters and their stories, just wish it had a bit more pace in places!

I had high hopes for this book, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. It started strong with some intriguing details about the Belle Époque, but the plot got a bit convoluted. I had trouble staying interested after the first few chapters.
