A collection of music by some of the greatest composers of the Classical Period arranged for solo alto saxophone with piano accompaniment. The composers represented are Beethoven, Gluck, Giuseppe Giordani, Maria Theresia von Paradis, Gossec, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, von Weber, Cherubini and Boccherini. These pieces have been arranged from works originally composed for violin, piano or string quartet and from opera music. The selections range from intermediate to advanced in difficulty.
