Bolivia en la actualidad representa una gran variedad de especies tropicales de inters comercial tanto para el mercado nacional como internacional. No obstante, aunque existe una serie de claves de identificacin de tipo dendrolgico, en la actualidad no se cuenta con claves de identificacin para madera en este pas. En el siguiente trabajo se presenta la propuesta de una clave de identificacin macroscpica de 22 especies de uso comercial en Bolivia. Se presentan dos tipos de clave, una dicotmica dirigida principalmente a personas con conocimientos en la anatoma de la madera y otra clave esquemtica con el fin de que personas con pocos conocimientos en la anatoma puedan utilizarla para la identificacin de maderas comerciales.
