The preadolescent stage is a very critical period for any child with respect to personality development. This is the time when the child begins to seek selfidentity. This book, through clothing satisfaction determinants, explores the role of clothing in influencing perception of selfworth. The author argues that through symbolic interaction with significant others and the peer group, preadolescents seek to get the concept of their identity. She recommends that the preadolescents should always be involved in designing and selection of their clothing and they should never be forced to take clothing that they do not prefer. In this regard, the core knowledge of clothing influence on the preadolescents perception of selfworth is discussed.
