In der Literatur ist dieser relativ neue Begriff noch nicht hinreichend definiert und in der ITFachwelt noch umstritten. Dies wird auch nicht dadurch entschrft, dass Hard und Softwarehersteller vorwiegend den Begriff Cloud in ihre Produkte integrieren, da auch die Hersteller ber ein unterschiedliches Verstndnis der Cloud verfgen. Es existiert eine Vielzahl von ungesicherten Informationen ber das Thema, so dass die Vor und Nachteile des Cloud Computings bei Unternehmen bzw. ITEntscheidern oft im Verborgenen bleiben. Bei der Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema wird die Realitt bestehender ITStrukturen in Unternehmen oft vernachlssigt. So stellt sich die Frage, ob sich die Geschftsprozesse eines Unternehmens berhaupt fr eine CloudInfrastruktur eignen, und ob sich dadurch Vorteile fr die Unternehmung ableiten lassen.
