Wie diese Lcke zu schlieen ist, zeigt diese Arbeit: Mehrstufige Befragungen erheben fr zehn Industriebranchen (Kfz, Uhren, Chemie, Schuhe, Mbel, Bromaschinen, Molkerei, Fleischverarbeitung, Holz und Stahlbau) die Besonderheiten bezglich Nachfrage, Warentransport, Arbeitskrfte, Zulieferbeziehungen und Standortfaktoren. Mit diesen Parametern lassen sich die Modelle simulieren. Einige Modelle liefern berraschend gute Prognosen, die sich weitgehend mit den tatschlich vorherrschenden und in der Arbeit kartierten Clusterstrukturen decken.
