The study finds the patterns of bilingual childrens codeswitching during conversation who acquired Bangla as their first language and English as a second language. The study takes a closer look at bilingual childrens speech performances from twoword to telegraphic stage and finds if the codeswitching patterns occur in an order during their speech development. It also presents the percentage of the frequency level of the occurred codeswitching patterns, the fundamental triggers for codeswitching, and the reasons behind the childrens and parents codeswitching. Codeswitching is the central issue of bilingual research (Milroy, 1995, p. 7) and the study findings contribute more information on codeswitching and early bilingualism.
