Written in Kathleen M. Galottis signature engaging style, this text is a dynamic examination of cognitive development from infancy through adolescence. Updated and reorganized throughout, the Second Edition of Cognitive Development weaves together a variety of theoretical perspectives while considering issues of research methodology. Introductory chapters cover theoretical and developmental frameworks and are followed by chronologically arranged chapters, giving undergraduate and graduate students an understanding of the whole child in an accessible, intuitive framework.

This book on cognitive development from infancy to adolescence has been such a helpful resource for me. I love the way it breaks down complex theories into easy-to-understand concepts. It’s really aided me in understanding my child's growth stages.

Fantastic Resource for New Moms
I bought this book when my baby was born and it has been a lifesaver. The insights on cognitive milestones are super helpful for tracking development. I give it to my friends who are expecting too!

Not What I Expected
I thought this would be an easy read, but it turned out to be more academic than I anticipated. If you’re looking for a light read, this might not be the best choice. It’s great for serious study, but I was hoping for something more casual.

Useful but a Bit Outdated
This book has a lot of valuable information, but some of the research feels a bit dated. There are newer studies that could have been included. It’s still useful for general guidance on cognitive development, though.
