This volume presents the latest advances in understanding attention: its anatomy, circuitry, functions, and deficits. Outstanding investigators have written brief yet substantive chapters in which they not only summarize key findings but also illuminate their goals and the directions their research is taking. Coverage includes different cognitive models of attention; knowledge emerging from functional imaging and genetic studies; and neurophysiological, developmental, and neuropsychological approaches. Emerging knowledge is presented on processes that impair or alter attention, and clinical implications are discussed. Linking many levels of analysis, and featuring over 100 illustrations, the book moves us closer to a coherent view of the attentional system and the key role it plays in everyday life.

This book on the cognitive neuroscience of attention is packed with fascinating information, but I found some parts a bit hard to digest. It's definitely not light reading, so be prepared to take your time with it. Perfect if you're into deep dives into how our brains work!

Great resource for psychology students
I bought this for my graduate psychology class, and it has become a key resource for understanding attention. The explanations are thorough, and the research references are current. A must-have for anyone studying cognitive neuroscience!

Disappointing quality for the price
I expected better for a book costing this much. The content is interesting, but the print quality feels cheap and the binding isn't great either. If you're really into this topic, maybe borrow a copy instead of buying.

Solid but lacking practical applications
While the book provides solid theoretical insights into attention mechanisms, I wish it included more practical applications. It's a good read for theory, but I was hoping for more examples of real-world use. Still, it's worth a look!

Great content, but took forever to arrive
I found the content of this book to be very enlightening, but the delivery took way too long. I was eager to start reading about the cognitive neuroscience aspects of attention, and the wait was frustrating. Just a heads up!
