I was really looking forward to this book, but it arrived with a dented cover and the layout felt cluttered. It distracted from the content, and I couldn't really get into it like I hoped. Sad to say, I won't be revisiting this one.

A real eye-opener for comic fans
I picked this up because I love exploring the history of comics, and 'The Death of Precode Comics' does not disappoint. It's fascinating to understand why those early comics changed and what led to their decline. The writing is engaging, keeping me hooked throughout!

Interesting but a bit slow at times
This book has some amazing insights into comics from 1940 to 1955, but there were parts where the pace dragged a little. Still, I learned a lot about the cultural impacts on comics during that period. Worth a read if you're into comic history!

I thought this would be more about specific comics, but it focuses heavily on the context and reasons behind the changes. While some info was interesting, I was hoping for more comic breakdowns. Just okay for me.
