Das Coming out des eigenen Kindes ist fr Eltern oft eine erschtternde Offenbarung und mit einem Wechselbad der Gefhle und Gedanken verbunden. Ich bin selbst Mutter eines erwachsenen homosexuellen 22jhrigen Sohnes, welcher sein Coming out uns gegenber im Alter von 16 Jahren hatte. Damals habe ich die Erfahrung gemacht, dass sich nach dem ffentlichen Bekenntnis viele sorgenvolle Gedanken und Emotionen bilden und eine groe Menge an offenen Fragen zur Homosexualitt entsteht. Da immer noch viele Vorurteile gegenber der Homosexualitt existieren, ist es fr viele Eltern oft nicht mglich, offen ber diese Situation zu kommunizieren. An dieser Stelle ist es Aufgabe einer psychologischen Beratung die Eltern bei der Auseinandersetzung mit dieser, fr sie oftmals belastenden, Situation zu begleiten und ihnen mit aufklrenden Sachinformationen zur Seite zu stehen.
