El fenomeno en cuestion tiene que ver con el hecho de que "como" se inserta en una posicion sintactica inesperada y con el hecho aparentemente concomitante de una distintiva y novedosa interpretacion contribuida por este elemento. Este comportamiento no aparece registrado ni en las descripciones que se han hecho en los estudios gramaticales de la tradicion hispanica ni en los estudios especializados que hay de dicho elemento. El fenomeno es interesante porque involucra 2 construcciones; aunque ambas manifiestan el empleo de "como" en funcion de modificador, lo cual es normal para elementos de este tipo, se observa la peculiaridad de que en ciertas construcciones "como" modifica una frase que en apariencia esta fuera de su ambito de modificacion, y en otras la modificacion recae sobre el evento, mismo que, de igual forma, al parecer esta fuera de su ambito. Lo datos se han observado en el espan~ol actual de la Ciudad de Mexico.
