El objetivo de este texto es mostrar los adelantos en el campo de los filtros activos de potencia para compensar los armnicos de corriente que aparecen en un sistema de distribucin de energa elctrica, al igual que se muestran las tcnicas que se utilizan para compensar la potencia reactiva y los desequilibrios en las redes elctricas. En el texto se abordan los conceptos tericos y se muestra su forma de implementacin de un prototipo real. En el prototipo se ha empleado un convertidor de corrientecontinua a corrientealterna en conexin paralelo utilizando una modulacin de ancho de pulso y diferentes mtodos de control de corriente para la compensacin de armnicos. En particular se muestran novedosas tcnicas de control selectivo de armnicos y la aplicacin de un control repetitivo.
