La nueva etapa en la Universalizacin de la Educacin Superior Cubana, consistente en llevar la enseanza universitaria a todos los municipios y bateyes del pas, requiri de un modelo pedaggico novedoso en nuestro contexto, que permitiera adecuarse a la singularidad de cada estudiante y territorio y que su xito demandara de un estudiante que sea protagonista de su aprendizaje. La contradiccin entre esta condicin de partida del modelo y las insuficiencias en el estudio independiente que manifiestan los estudiantes que cursan esta modalidad en la provincia de Las Tunas, constituye la problemtica en torno a la cual se proyect la investigacin. La investigacin aporta en lo terico un modelo de enseanzaaprendizaje, con tecnologa multimedia, dinamizado por la contradiccin entre el contenido y la orientacin didctica, en el proceso de formacin de los profesionales que se desarrolla en condiciones de semipresencialidad. Desde el punto de vista prctico se aporta una metodologa para la elaboracin de libros electrnicos multimedia que favorecen el estudio independiente en el contexto de la Universalizacin de la Educacin Superior.
