La mise en vidence de linteroprabilit des composants dans un assemblage est une ncessit dans de telles approches. En effet, les architectures logicielles valident les aspects fonctionnels, ce qui nest pas suffisant pour garantir un assemblage raliste et remdier aux problmes dhtrognit des flux de donnes changs. Nous proposons, pour mettre en vidence linteroprabilit et permettre de trouver des solutions aux problmes dhtrognit, une approche base modle appele MMSA (Metamodel for MultiMedia Software Architecture). Elle permet la description darchitectures logicielles exprimant un systme logiciel comme une collection de composants qui manipulent diffrents types et formats de donnes et qui interagissent par lintermdiaire de connecteurs dadaptation. Nous dfinissons aussi un profil UML 2.0 pour exprimer et modliser les nouveaux concepts et contraintes du mta modle MMSA. La transition vers un profil UML est assure par les mcanismes d'extension fournis par UML 2.0 afin d'amliorer la vrification et la cohrence des architectures dcrites en MMSA.
