Un anlisis cuidadoso de la informacin disponible y de estudios futuros permitir aclarar mejor este dilema.Por el momento se recomienda emplearla en pacientes seleccionadas, en el momento adecuado, es decir, con una indicacin clara, por tiempo no muy prolongado y dentro de una estrategia de atencin integral que incluya el estilo de vida. Dentro de este contexto la presente investigacin trata de presentar datos de mujeres en climaterio en el contexto cotidiano de la consulta externa, su percepcin y el impacto del tratamiento hormonal que reciben.
