El objeto fundamental de esta investigacin es contrastar las auscultaciones geodsicas que se realizan en la actualidad por mtodos clsicos y las que se pueden plantear con la aparicin en el escenario topogrfico del lser escner. No se trata de determinar si el nivel de precisin es comparable, lo cual con una simple verificacin de las especificaciones del instrumental a emplear en ambos casos indica que no lo es, sino que dado un mtodo cuyo orden de precisin es mayor (auscultaciones geodsicas clsicas), determinar el nivel de exactitud que se puede llegar a obtener con las auscultaciones geodsicas que se pueden proponer con el lser escner. Todo ello con la finalidad de buscar aplicaciones en las que este tipo de instrumental pueda tener cabida en el futuro.
