Esta Tesis forma parte del conjunto de Tesis que se han desarrollado con relacin a dos proyectos de investigacin realizados por el Grupo de Investigacin Control y Robtica (TEP 192) de la Universidad de Huelva. Los objetivos de ambos proyectos fueron, respectivamente, el diseo, desarrollo y construccin de un sistema de potencia autnomo basado en energa fotovoltaica y tecnologas de hidrgeno; y el diseo, desarrollo y construccin de un sistema de respaldo de potencia basado en tecnologas de hidrgeno. En el contexto de ambos proyectos, esta Tesis abarca las realizaciones siguientes: 1) Desarrollo de una metodologa para optimizar el dimensionado de sistemas fotovoltaicos aislados usando convertidores CC/CC en paralelo, 2) Desarrollo de una metodologa para dimensionar sistemas de potencia pilas de combustible + bateras aplicados a sistemas SAI, y 3) Diseo de un laboratorio para la investigacin del hidrgeno como vector energtico.
