El control ha sido un rea de la ingeniera muy importante durante muchos aos y cada vez se ve ms su uso en muchas reas de la industria pero sobre todo de la vida cotidiana como podran ser los sistemas automotrices, el control de mquinas industriales y el control de sistemas robticos entre otros. En los sistemas de control en lazo cerrado se pretende medir una seal fsica que directa o indirectamente represente la variable del sistema que deseamos controlar, mediante un procesamiento computacional o matemtico se calcula una seal de control, la cual es ingresada al sistema fsico a travs de un actuador. En este trabajo se busc realizar el diseo de un filtro de Kalman que estime adecuadamente la dinmica del sistema y un controlador tipo regulador cuadrtico lineal (LQR) para la regulacin del sistema.Adems se busca establecer una plataforma alternativa de experimentacin para el proceso de control del Helicptero de tres grados de libertad, a un bajo costo, ofreciendo al usuario una referencia clara y cercana sobre los tratamientos de las seales fsicas del sistema utilizado, por medio de tcnicas de control ptimo y estimacin de estados de la planta.
