En este trabajo se desarrolla un control no lineal que es adaptable con respecto a la resistencia del rotor de un motor trifsico de induccin tipo jaula de ardilla. El controlador cuenta con un algoritmo para la estimacin de los flujos del rotor y es capaz de seguir trayectorias para la posicin angular del rotor. El control propuesto se compara con el esquema de control de campo orientado. Ambos controladores tienen desempeos aceptables cuando se trata de trayectorias suaves. Sin embargo, el control adaptable presenta una mejora en su desempeo con respecto al del control por campo orientado cuando se someten a trayectorias ms demandantes. Aqu se revisan los principios bsicos que hacen posible la deduccin del modelo dinmico del motor trifsico y su representacin equivalente de dos fases. El estudio de la tcnica de control de campo orientado es prcticamente ineludible, porque es el mtodo de control de mquinas eltricas ms empleado a nivel industrial.
