Convair B36: A Comprehensive History of Americas Big Stick is a collaborative effort edited and coauthored by Meyers Jacobsen exploring the history of one of SACs air giants, the sixengine Convair B36. From the origins of the use of six engines on bombers from around the world, along with the history and development of SAC and the use of its numbers of B36s, this book will give the reader a greater amount of information than has ever before been published on the Convair B36. Included with the technical and historical aspects of the B36s use in SAC, are first hand anecdotes and accounts from the men who serviced, flew, and proudly served in SAC under Curtis LeMay. There are also detailed sections on the electronic countermeasures and various armament configurations applied in the B36, as well as chapters containing information on B36 attrition, and detailed accounts of the survivors that exist to this day. A wonderful book for aircraft historians, modellers, and SAC enthusiasts.

I enjoyed reading this comprehensive history, but it felt a bit overwhelming at times. The information is rich, but the writing could be more engaging. Still, if you're really into military aviation, this book has a ton of valuable info.

Disappointing Quality Control
I was really looking forward to this book, but mine arrived with a few pages folded and some print issues. The content seems good based on what I've skimmed, but the condition is frustrating. I expected better from a military aviation title.

A Must-Read for Aviation Buffs
As an aviation enthusiast, the Convair B-36 history is just brilliant! The detail in this book is impressive, covering everything from its design to its operational history. I couldn't put it down. Definitely worth the space on my bookshelf!
