The ultimate technical study of fourway independence based on AfroCuban rhythms. This detailed and methodical approach will develop fourlimb coordination and expand rhythmic vocabulary. Understanding the clave and the relationship between eighthnote and triplet rhythms will aid in mastering the multiple and complex rhythms of AfroCuban styles.

I found the content of the book to be very informative, but the exercises can be a bit overwhelming at first. The CD is helpful for practicing along, but I wish there were more beginner-friendly sections. Still, it’s a valuable resource for dedicated learners.

Perfect for Advanced Players
As an experienced drummer, I really appreciate the depth of this study. The four-way independence exercises are challenging yet rewarding. The CD complements the book perfectly, and I've noticed improvement in my playing already!

Decent but Lacks Clarity
While the material is interesting, I found some sections a bit hard to follow. The exercises are great for practicing, but the explanations could be clearer. It’s a decent book, but it could use some improvements for clarity.

Not What I Expected
I was excited to get this book, but upon receiving it, I found the layout a bit confusing. Also, the CD was scratched and didn’t play well. The material seems solid, but I had some issues that made it harder to dive in right away.

A Must for Afro-Cuban Percussionists
This book and CD combo is top-notch! I love how it dives deep into four-way independence in Afro-Cuban rhythms. The exercises are challenging, but they really help improve my playing. Can't recommend it enough for anyone serious about percussion!
