Beyond the framework of siblings of the disabled, there seems to be little originality in the information offered. With that foundation removed, the book is largely a compilation of the Norman Vincent Peale approach to problemsolving and to life. While this may be helpful for certain children in certain situations, it runs the risk of trivializing the deep emotional turmoil that may result from having a disabled family member. A list of organizations for specific disabilities and an extensive list for further reading are appended. In the hands of a skilled therapist, the book might be of use. Undertaken alone, however, it runs the risk of fostering the idea that complex problems have simple solutions. Constance A.
