I bought this Barron's test prep for my son who's in grade 6. The practice questions closely resemble what he encounters in school, which really boosts his confidence. Plus, the explanations are clear and helpful!

Mixed feelings about the content
The Core Focus test practice has good questions, but I found some of them a bit confusing. My daughter is using it to prepare for the common core tests, and while it helps, I wish the explanations were a bit more detailed. It’s still a decent resource, though.

Packaging issues on arrival
I was excited for this Barron's test prep book, but it arrived with a dented cover. The content seems good and useful for common core practice, but I wish it had been packaged better during shipping. Just a minor annoyance.

I really liked this Core Focus test prep book! My son struggled with math and reading comprehension, but the practice questions helped him get a better grasp. He feels more ready for the common core assessments now, which is all I really wanted.
