In den 80er Jahren Schallplattenverffentlichungen, in den Neunzigern Mitbegrnder des HYDEKartells in Berlin. 1995 Promotion, 1997 Habilitation, danach Privatdozent an der Universitt Hamburg. 2000 Gastprofessor an der Kunsthochschule Kassel, seit 2001 Professor fr Kunst und ihre Vermittlung an der Universitt Lneburg. Lehrauftrge in Weimar, Linz, Canterbury, Hamburg und Kassel. 2005 RomanDebt Klangwesen. Pierangelo Maset ist seit 2006 Chefredakteur der in Stuttgart erscheinenden Kulturzeitschrift DAS PLATEAU. Zahlreiche Publikationen in den Gebieten Kunst, sthetik, Kunstvermittlung. 2007 wurde sein Roman Laura oder die Tcken der Kunst fr den Deutschen Buchpreis nominiert. 2010: Geistessterben.
