Written by two academic scholars and former practitioners, Corrections: From Research, to Policy, to Practice, Second Edition offers students a 21stcentury look into the treatment and rehabilitative themes that drive modernday corrections. Authors Mary K. Stohr and Anthony Walsh expertly weave together research, policy, and practice to give readers a foundational understanding of the field of corrections.

As a corrections officer, I found this book extremely relevant. The insights from research to practical application are super helpful. It’s well-structured and makes it easier to address real-world challenges in our system. Great job!

Good but Lacks Depth in Some Areas
This book has some strong points when discussing new policies, but I felt certain topics could've been explored more deeply. Still, it’s a decent read for understanding research implications in corrections. Worth a look if you’re in the field.

Insightful Resource for Policymakers
I picked up 'Corrections: From Research to Policy to Practice' for my grad studies, and it's been a goldmine of information. The way it bridges theoretical research with practical policy is impressive. Highly useful for anyone in criminal justice!

Not What I Expected
I was hoping for more practical examples. While 'Corrections: From Research to Policy to Practice' has solid research, it didn’t really deliver on actionable steps for implementation. It’s okay, but I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners.
