Der globale Wandel bringt zunehmend Probleme mit sich, die auf dem Weg von nationaler zu globaler Problematik an Intransparenz zunehmen. So z.B. die Korruption. Kein Land weltweit kann von sich behaupten frei von korrupten Machenschaften zu sein und dennoch unterscheiden sich die Staaten hinsichtlich der Intensitt enorm. Dieser Problematik widmet sich eine der ersten und vielleicht auch eine der wichtigsten AntiKorruptions Organisationen Transparency International. Ihre wichtigste Messgre, der CORRUPTION PERCEPTION INDEX (CPI), lsst eine klare Tendenz erkennen. Doch beinhaltet der CPI, als statistische Ma, einige nicht unwesentliche Mngel. Daher fokussiert diese Arbeit zunchst die verwendete Methodik des CPI, um anschlieend Ursachen der Korruption am Fallbeispiel Nigerias aufzuzeigen. Der Schwerpunkt der Korruptionsanalyse wird nicht auf die vollstndige Auflistung aller denkbaren Ursachen fr Korruption gelegt, sondern ein Versuch unternommen die Strukturen Nigerias nher zu beleuchten. Das UrsacheWirkungsgeflecht der Korruption ist und bleibt phnomenartig.
