This book walks you through two different methods of creating designs on your custom art tiles: ONE: Using clay slips to create designs, including tubelining, stenciling, sgraffito and more, and TWO: working with presses (cookie presses, etc) to create unique relief designs on your own handmade tiles. The custom tiles you see on the cover of this book were created by me, using the methods described in the book. You will also learn how to make a plaster mold of your newlycreated prototype tile, so you can produce as many identical tiles as you wish. Filled with practical tips and shortcuts I've learned over the years, plus dozens of (b/w) photos, this book will guide you every step of the way. You should have basic knowledge of working with ceramic clay, modeling tools and kilns.
