En este texto el lector encontrar un profundo, crtico y creativo debate filosfico en torno al 'creer', el 'saber' y el 'conocer' como nociones epistmicas particularmente relacionadas, pero cuyos lmites se mantienen difusos, pese al anlisis experto hecho en las ltimas dcadas por filsofos contemporneos como Luis Villoro, Wolfgang Stegmller y Donald Davidson, entre otros. Se revisa la relacin que estas tres nociones guardan con la nocin de verdad. Se examina la posibilidad de retornar a una nocin epistmica de la verdad, sin relativismos veritativos ni ontolgicos, que permita visibilizar mejor el problema de los lmites entre 'creer', 'saber' y 'conocer'. Dado el estatus ontolgico de las creencias, entendidas por el autor como 'campos disposicionales organizados en redes dinmicas', la nueva comprensin de estos lmites requiere una flexibilizacin de las lgicas ortodoxas y una teora sistmica y social del conocimiento, capaz de dar cuenta de las relaciones de las creencias con el significado y uso de la nocin de verdad en los lenguajes naturales.
