Una posible alternativa para construir la esperanza en un mundo mejor puede partir de la recuperacin del poder de la ciudadana; por lo menos esta es una posibilidad que gana consistencia en el discurso de Hannah Arendt. Presento as el enfoque arendtiano de la participacin poltica, no para prometer parasos terrenales, ni soluciones holsticas; sino para reivindicar el sentido de la libertad. Libertad sin la cual no podramos ascender hacia la dignidad, ni pensar, ni perdonar, ni prometer; en suma, perderamos el infinito poder hermenutico de la voluntad respecto al pasado, presente y futuro, que permitira liberarnos del determinismo y de la cosificacin y superar la condicin de idion (que slo tiene intereses privados). A partir de la libertad es posible la autonoma de la voluntad para querer considerar al otro, ampliando los mrgenes de comprensin y haciendo viable la solidaridad.
