Weitere wichtige Aufgaben, neben den Aufgaben der Planung, Kontrolle und Steuerung ist die Aufgabe der Informationsaufbereitung bzw. versorgung. Um dieser Aufgabe gerecht werden zu knnen, ist der Einsatz eines EDVgesttzten Controllings praktisch unentbehrlich. Die SAP AG bietet mit dem Modul Controlling" (CO) ein umfangreiches Instrument zur Untersttzung des Controllings eines Unternehmens an. Es kann bei Bedarf noch um das Modul Unternehmenscontrolling" (EC) ergnzt werden. Neben diesen beiden Modulen untersttzen die Informationssysteme anderer R/3Module den Controller. Gegenstand dieser Arbeit soll das Modul Controlling mit seinen Mglichkeiten des Customizing im Bereich der Kostenrechnung sein. Es soll vor allem untersucht werden ob das SAP R/3 System, mit seinem Controlling Modul, die Anforderungen der heutigen Zeit gewachsen ist. Die Arbeit soll dabei controllingunerfahrenen Lesern einen Einblick in das Modul CO gewhren. Zu diesem Zweck werden die Grundlagen der Kostenrechnung eingehend behandelt, um das Verstndnis der brigen Teile zu erleichtern und begriffliche Unterschiede zwischen der in der betriebswirtschaftlichen Literatur verwendeten und der SAP eigenen Begrifflichkeit aufzuzeigen.
