Das Interesse an Genprodukten und genetischen Vernderungen, die eine signifikante Assoziation zur Zellproliferation und Zellzykluskontrolle aufweisen ist gro, da sowohl Gene als auch Genprodukte potentielle Angriffspunkte fr neuartige Therapien darstellen knnten oder als Prognosemarker dienen knnten. In der vorliegenden Studie erfolgte die Untersuchung der molekularen Marker CCND1, Cyclin D1 und dem proliferationsassoziierten Antigen Ki67 im Plattenepithelkarzinom des Kopf und Halsbereichs. Hierbei wurden die Marker in einer Studienpopulation von 649 Proben untersucht und auf die Relevanz im Hinblick auf die Prognose der Patienten berprft. Die Untersuchung erfolgte in 4 Gruppen, die sich nach der Entnahmelokalisation der Tumoren richtete: eine Gesamt, eine Pharynx, eine Larynx und eine Mundraumgruppe. Es zeigte sich neben deutlichen Unterschieden der CCND1 Amplifikation und der Cyclin D1 Expression in Abhngigkeit von der Lokalisation der untersuchten Tumoren eine Prognoserelevanz fr Cyclin D1 bzw. fr dessen Gen CCND1.
