The core issue of abandonment has been a presenting theme in all individuals who suffer with shame. Fear of rejection is a top layer to the abondonment issues. Steffen is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and is in private practice. She treats children, adolescents and adults in individual, family, and group therapy. Dr. Steffen is a National Board Certifited Counselor, and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She holds hospital and university affiliations. She maintains a K9 and other teaching credentials. Through her many years of clinical and educational experience, Dr. Steffen has come to respect the significance of how our thoughts affect our feelings and behavior. She promotes a wellness mentality.
