Trotz der fast allgegenwrtigen Prsenz des Begriffs sieht sich der Student mit der bestndigen Zurckhaltung einschlgiger Lexika konfrontiert, dem Linguistic turn einen eigenen Eintrag zu gewhren. Innerhalb des theoretischen Diskurses meint linguistic turn, dass vor allem dem geisteswissenschaftlichen Umgang mit jeglicher Form von Text eine kritische Reflektion ber das Medium der Sprache vorangehen sollte. Diese Behauptung kann als grundlegende These dieser Arbeit angesehen werden. Sie gilt auch und insbesondere fr den wissenschaftlichen Umgang mit Literatur. Die Errterung dieser Behauptung werde ich, wie bereits dem Titel zu entnehmen ist, mit der Untersttzung Jacques Derridas versuchen. Bevor ich es jedoch wage, es mit den Dimensionen des Titels aufzunehmen, beabsichtige ich auf die Zirkulationsbewegung einzugehen, die durch das initiiert wurde, was den Begriff linguistic turn letztlich hervorgebracht hat. Die Schlsselbegriffe dieser Arbeit (Theorie, Strukturalismus, diffrence, Poststrukturalismus, diffrance, Dekonstruktion) sind von dieser Zirkulation in besonderem Mae beeinflusst. Zunchst werde ich also auf die Frchte der linguistischen Wende Bezug nehmen, einerseits um die Anlagen der Dekonstruktion nachzuzeichnen, andererseits um das Argument fr einen radikalen linguistic turn bei Jacques Derrida vorzubereiten. So verstanden ist Derridas Argument ein nachtrgliches Argument fr eine bereits am Anfang des letzten Jahrhunderts einsetzende Vernderung im Denken.
